The STep Ahead Recognition System (STARS) is Vermont’s quality rating
system for child care, preschool and afterschool programs. We know through
experience and research that the quality of such care, and its contribution
to early childhood development, are key factors in the future vitality of our
children, our workplaces, our economy, and our communities.
As
a parent, choosing the right child care is one of the most
important choices you'll
make. But you don't have to do this alone. Parents can look for STARS as one indicator of quality.
